Fall in Pendleton, Indiana:

Your Guide to September & October 2026

There’s just something special about fall in Pendleton.

The temperatures start to cool, the leaves begin changing around Falls Park, football season is in full swing, and our community calendar fills up with some of the events that make Pendleton such a great place to call home.

Whether you’ve lived here for years, recently moved to the area, or are looking for a reason to visit, September and October are packed with things to do. From Heritage Fair and Homecoming to live music, pumpkin picking and Halloween fun, here are some of the events you’ll want on your calendar this fall.

Pendleton Farmers Market

Saturdays in September | Falls Park

Before farmers market season comes to an end, spend a Saturday morning at beautiful Falls Park.

The Pendleton Farmers Market is a great opportunity to shop local, pick up fresh produce and locally made goods, and support area growers, makers and small businesses.

Grab a coffee, browse the vendors and take a walk through the park while you're there. It’s a pretty perfect way to spend a September morning in Pendleton.

Fall Creek Heritage Fair

September 11–12, 2026 | 10 AM–6 PM | Falls Park

If there is one September weekend Pendleton residents know to put on their calendars, this is it!

The Pendleton Fall Creek Heritage Fair returns to Falls Park September 11 and 12 with more than 150 art, craft and food vendors, along with a petting zoo, quilt show, antique tractor and engine show and plenty of activities throughout the park.

Heritage Fair has become a longstanding Pendleton tradition and is one of those weekends when Falls Park is absolutely buzzing with activity.

Come hungry, wear comfortable shoes and give yourself plenty of time to explore!

Pendleton Fall Festival

September 11–12, 2026 | Downtown Pendleton

Don't stop at Falls Park!

Heritage Fair weekend also brings the Pendleton Fall Festival to downtown Pendleton.

Explore downtown for vendors, artisans, shopping, local eateries and everything that makes our historic downtown so much fun to visit.

With Heritage Fair happening in Falls Park and Fall Festival activities downtown, this is one of the best weekends of the entire year to experience Pendleton.

Friends of the Library Lucky Duck Race

Heritage Fair Weekend | Falls Park

And you can't talk about Heritage Fair without mentioning the ducks!

The Friends of the Pendleton Community Public Library Lucky Duck Race is another fun local tradition. During Heritage Fair weekend, rubber ducks make their way down Fall Creek as part of this community fundraiser.

It's quirky, it's fun, and it's very Pendleton.

Be sure to check with the Pendleton Community Public Library and Friends of the Library for information about purchasing your duck and the official 2026 race time.

Community Night of Worship

September 20, 2026 | Pendleton
6:30 PM | Pendleton Elementary- 327 S. East Street

Join members of the Pendleton community for a special evening of worship, fellowship and connection at Pendleton Elementary. Community Night of Worship brings people together from across the area for an evening centered on faith and community.

This is another wonderful example of the strong sense of connection that makes Pendleton such a special place to call home.

Pendleton Heights Homecoming

September 25, 2026

Break out the green because it's Homecoming week!

Pendleton Heights High School celebrates Homecoming on September 25, with the Arabians scheduled to take on Mt. Vernon at home.

Homecoming is about much more than Friday night football. It's school spirit, students, alumni, families and the community coming together to celebrate Pendleton Heights.

We’re excited to cheer on the Arabians this season! As a proud sponsor of Pendleton Heights Athletics for the 2026–2027 season, The Real Estate Pros will be joining in the Homecoming excitement. Look for our team as we hand out custom spirit bells to the first 1,500 Arabian fans. Grab yours on the way in and help us fill the stands with plenty of Arabian spirit!

Keep an eye out for details surrounding Homecoming festivities and the parade as the date gets closer.

Go Arabians!

Pendleton Porch Music Festival

October 3, 2026 | 12–6 PM | Broadway Street

October kicks off with one of Pendleton's coolest community events, the Pendleton Porch Music Festival!

On October 3rd, porches along Broadway Street become stages as musicians perform throughout the afternoon.

Stroll through the neighborhood, listen to live music, check out local art, grab something delicious to eat and enjoy downtown Pendleton.

The festival runs from 12–6 PM and combines live music, art, food and community in a way that feels perfectly at home in Pendleton.

This one definitely deserves a spot on your fall calendar.

Smith Family Farms Pumpkin Patch

Weekends in October | 7055 W 675 S, Pendleton

Would it really be fall without a trip to the pumpkin patch?

Smith Family Farms Pumpkin Patch is an eighth-generation family farm that has been operating for more than 100 years. Plan a day trip to the farm for pumpkin picking, hayrides, a corn maze, a full playground, petting zoo with donkeys, cows, goats and rabbits.

Enjoy concessions, and live music from 1:30–3:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Food includes burgers, nachos and caramel apples. They’re open every Saturday and Sunday in October from 11 AM–5 PM.

Pendleton Parks Boo Bash

Saturday, October 17, 2026 | Pendleton Sports Complex

We'll finish out October with a little Halloween fun!

The Pendleton Park Department's Boo Bash has become another fun community tradition at the Pendleton Sports Complex.

Past Boo Bash celebrations have included trunk-or-treating, food trucks, vendors, music, costume contests, pumpkin carving, games, prizes and even a hayride.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 17, 2026, and get ready for a fun day of Halloween festivities with the Pendleton community.

There’s No Place Like Pendleton in the Fall

These events are a big part of why we love calling Pendleton home.

It's not just Falls Park, the historic downtown or the beautiful neighborhoods. It's seeing people you know at Heritage Fair. It's Friday night football under the lights. It's kids picking pumpkins, musicians playing on front porches, local businesses opening their doors and neighbors coming together for traditions that happen year after year.

That sense of community is hard to describe until you've experienced it—and fall is one of the very best times to do just that.

So save the dates, share this list with a friend and get out and enjoy everything happening around Pendleton this September and October.

And if you're thinking about making Pendleton your home—or you're already a local resident considering your next move—The Real Estate Pros of Keller Williams would love to be your local real estate resource.

We don't just work here. We're part of the community, too.

Everyone Deserves a Place.
